S8050 transistor working principle is similar to the other transistors when they are connected to their respective electric circuits.
As we have stated about the configuration, S8050 transistor has three terminals: The emitter, the base and the collector.
The emitter and the collector are reverse-biased while the base(which is grounded) is forward biased.
This configuration ensures that the signal is supplied to the base pin.
From the S8050 transistor specifications, it is clear that it has a max gain value of 300. This is the value that will determine the level of amplification that you will get.
If you want to get the best amplification,then the gain value should definitely be high.
Let’s say if the gain value based at the collector is 110 and the supply current at the same terminal remains at 700mA, it will be difficult to control different loads that are designed to operate at the current value of more than 700mA.
You can only bias a S8050 transistor only if the current supplied at the vase terminal remains at 5mA.
Once you completely bias the transistor,it will end up creating an operational phase known as the Saturation Region.
Thus phase is created when you supply 700mA current across the emitter and the collector terminals.
Similarly,the voltage across VCE and VCB should be between the 20V and 30V.
Once you terminate the supply current at the base terminal, the transistor will go off. This new phase is known as the Cut-off region.
And based on this working principle, you can tell why it is easy to use S8050 transistor for both switching and amplification operations.
