Cascading the data from the shift register to other devices is made possible thanks to the serial output, also known as SER OUT.

The transistors at the outputs are low-side open-drain DMOS devices with 50-volt ratings and the ability to sink 150 milliamperes constantly. At a temperature of TC = 25 degrees Celsius, the usual current limit provided by each output is 500 milliamperes. As the junction’s temperature rises, the maximum allowable current gradually lowers to provide additional safety for the device.

The TPIC6B595 has been validated for operation throughout a temperature range that extends from 40 degrees Celsius to 125 degrees Celsius in its operational enclosure.
